Quiet Collision explores the opposing qualities that exist within one person, often at the same time

We can be organised and chaotic, romantic and practical, private and expressive, independent and connected. These are not separate identities or personalities we move between. They are different instincts held within the same self.

The A/W26 collection takes a look at these multiplicities through colour. Expanding and engaging with the feeling of existing as the meeting point of two opposites, finding the balance by just being ourselves. 

The Fade Sets

The fade sets are at the heart of the collection, representing that push and pull, taking a magnifying glass to the moment where one seamlessly becomes the other - becomes the whole.

Mercurial

Change is part of who we are.

The Mercurial Fade moves between two extremes: the quiet dreaminess of lilac and the unapologetic energy of orange. Along the way, soft pinks and warm tones blur the boundary between them. There is no single point where one mood becomes another. Instead, the colours shift gradually, reminding us that we are rarely one thing for very long. Softness can become intensity. Calm can become energy. And then, just as quickly, it can change again.

Undertow Fade Set

Somewhere between two opposing forces, there is movement.

The Undertow Fade begins in the deepest brown before slowly surrendering to blue. From shadow into depth, from depth into electricity. It is not a clean division between two moods, but a gradual movement between them. The colours overlap, shift and transform, finding all the spaces in between. Like the original Undertow, it is about being pulled in different directions — only this time, we follow the current.

Bittersweet Fade Set

There is beauty in the in-between.

The Bittersweet Fade travels from deep plum through muted, shadowy tones before emerging into vivid green. It is a journey between darkness and brightness, melancholy and freshness, introspection and expression. Rather than choosing one side, the fade gives us all the space in between, the complicated middle ground where opposing feelings can coexist. Because sometimes the most interesting place to be is neither here nor there.

Mercurial

Some moods refuse to stay still.

Mercurial is softness with a sudden change of mind. Lilac feels dreamy, introspective and almost weightless; orange brings energy, heat and unapologetic confidence. Neither one dominates. They exist together, constantly shifting the balance between delicate and bold, quiet and expressive. Mercurial is for the contradictions we don't always understand in ourselves. 

Undertow

There is always something beneath the surface.

Undertow is the feeling of being pulled in two directions at once. Grounded by something deep and familiar, while drawn irresistibly towards something brighter. Dark brown gives way to an electric blue, like light flashing through shadows. It is restraint and impulse, stillness and movement, depth and intensity existing side by side. The tension is never resolved. Instead, it becomes the thing that makes the colour impossible to look away from.

Bittersweet

Some things can be beautiful and difficult at the same time.

Bittersweet lives in that space between tenderness and intensity. Deep plum carries something romantic, introspective and almost melancholic, while cool mint green cuts through with unexpected brightness. Together they become neither dark nor light, sweet nor bitter, but something more complicated. A reminder that opposing feelings don't cancel each other out. Sometimes they deepen each other.

Ember

Not everything has to burn brightly to hold heat.

Ember is what remains when the flames have gone; deep, warm and quietly glowing. It speaks to the quieter side of intensity, to feelings that don't need to announce themselves to be powerful. Grounded and restrained, but never cold, Ember holds warmth beneath its dark surface. A reminder that passion can be quiet, that intensity can be contained, and that sometimes the strongest things are the ones still smouldering underneath.

Velvet Revolt

Sometimes the quietest surface hides the most chaos.

Velvet Revolt begins in darkness: rich, deep brown, soft and almost secretive. Then the colour breaks open. Flashes of unexpected colour appear beneath the surface; vivid, unruly and impossible to contain. It is the contradiction between the person we present and everything happening underneath. Composed from a distance, expressive and complex up close. A little restraint. A little rebellion. And a storm waiting to get out.

Temptation

We don't always want what makes sense.

Temptation is the pull towards something unexpected. Its muted, earthy foundation feels considered and restrained, but flashes of yellow, orange and green interrupt the calm. It is practicality with a reckless impulse; composure with a moment of indulgence. The colourway asks what happens when the part of us that wants to behave meets the part that wants to do exactly the opposite.
