The Yarn Advent Experience
With the QF Advent Box, you'll receive 12 parcels of yarn (with some hiding extra gifts!). The box is designed to be opened once a day on the leadup to 25th of December, and we will be unboxing it alongside you on our Instagram and Discord. (You can also just open it all immediately - we won't judge!)
The yarn countdown box is also designed to work with a corresponding pattern, each day designed for the next section in your knitting. So by the end of the yarn packages, this kit will make for a cosy winter project whether you follow along each day or decide to take a slower approach.
Last years Advent Box was a collaboration with Oshen Knits, who's balaclava pattern faded beautifully from day one to day twelve, with the makers finishing their Qingclavas just in time for the New Year. Find the video for unboxing days 9-12 above!

QF x Starcrossed Knits: Advent Box 2026
The 2026 Advent box 'Under Wraps' is in collaboration with Tamara, also known as Starcrossed Knits. She is a knitwear designer who loves colourwork and creating beautiful things - meet Starcrossed Knits by reading our interview with her on our blog.
Our collaboration advent calendar is inspired by the special moments of wrapping presents, quietly while everyone else has already gone to sleep. The quiet yet joyous feel of that late hour and excitement for the next morning are what makes people love the holidays so much.
Each colour in the project is exclusive and dyed especially for the 'Under Wraps' collaboration, developed with the designer. In the 2026 Advent box you will find 16 mini skeins (16g) spread across 12 days of mini parcels. The base for this project is Melted Baby Suri, our soft-as-a-cloud alpaca, merino and silk blend. This is a fluffy yarn that feels silky smooth on the skin, and gives the finished knit a beautiful bounce.
You'll also find some extra themed gifts and goodies waiting to be unravelled, to make your holidays even more magical.
Each day is designed to work with a special pattern Tamara has written for the Advent Box - you can cast on as soon as the first skeins are out of the bag!

The estimated shipping time for the Advent Boxes is mid-end November 2026, with international shipments prioritised.
Will the pattern be included in the shipment?
A digital version of the pattern by Starcrossed Knits will be shared with all customers who have purchased the QF x Starcrossed Knits Advent Box at the start of December.
