Ranti Studio Romanesco Bag Knitting Kit — Bittersweet PRE-ORDER

Deep plum moves through shadowy tones into vivid green. Knit Ranti Studio’s Romanesco Bag with the Bittersweet fade in Dashing Fingering, a soft, 100% ultrafine Merino yarn.

Choose your fade set

Choose the Bittersweet fade, or select Custom to explore the AW26 Fade Set colours, including Undertow and Mercurial. Each option uses Dashing Fingering, our 100% ultrafine Merino yarn.

Your kit

• Mini: one complete fade set — five 50g skeins, 250g and 1,000m in total.
• Large: two complete fade sets — ten 50g skeins, 500g and 2,000m in total.
• The Romanesco Bag PDF knitting pattern by Ranti Studio is included with either size.
• A fade set guide by the QF team. 

The design

The bag is worked from the bottom up, beginning with a linen-stitch base. Stitches are picked up for the body, which is worked in the round in a textured spike-stitch pattern. The handle is worked flat and finished afterwards. The pattern also includes optional instructions for sewing a lining.

Finished measurements

Mini (Large): width 11 (16) cm; length 21.5 (27) cm; height 18.5 (21.5) cm; handle length 40 (90) cm.

You will also need

5.5mm circular needles, 40–80cm long; four stitch markers, including a beginning-of-round marker; stitch holders or scrap yarn; a tape measure; scissors; and a tapestry needle. For an optional lining, you will need cotton fabric, a sewing needle, thread and firm iron-on interfacing.

Yarn details and care

Each fade set contains five 50g skeins of Dashing Fingering. Each skein is 200m of 100% ultrafine Merino. Hand wash cold and lay flat to dry. Hand-dyed colours may vary slightly between skeins and from the colours shown on screen.
