A/W25 All Hallows Special Edition

A/W25 All Hallows Special Edition

The end of October brings with itself a true change of seasons. The clocks turn back, darkness comes earlier, final harvests are taken from the fields. On one side of the planet, nature falls into a slumber.

These four colours in the A/W25 All Hallows collection are here to lull the earth to sleep, and to keep the ones still living in it cosy and warm. From burning oranges of fire rituals to purples and teals of water magic, this special edition of Folklore is here to take you past the first frosts.

For each shade, we created a one-skein project, small tokens of making to honour their story, quick knits and crochets that show how a single skein can become something beautiful, wearable, and full of meaning.

Ritual

Every community has fire rituals: for protection, for harvest, for calling the sun back. Ritual burns with that collective energy, an incandescent orange scattered with sparks of celebratory colour.

Valentines Bralette by Qing Studio

The vibrant neon flames of Ritual are like a secret spark, bringing warmth and playfulness to something usually unseen.  Knitted with just one skein of soft Dashing Sassy, it’s light, breathable, and so comfortable against the skin. We swapped the clasp for a delicate i-cord tie at the front and added a little embroidered spider for extra spookiness

Soot

In old stories, soot was protection: smeared on faces to hide from spirits, or kept in hearths as a charm of safety. Soot is that shadowed magic, protective and enduring.

The Spider Dress by Butterfly Blues Crochet

We drafted our own mini spider-web version using Yak Single - Soot, but if you love the look this pattern by Butterfly Blues Crochet is perfect... and it only requires one skein! Yak Singles are perfect for this project with silk adding a subtle shine and Yak with its slight weight allows  this yarn to drape elegantly when knitted or crocheted.

Heath

Wild heaths were thought to be liminal places, thresholds where the everyday touched the otherworld. Heath reflects that muted beauty: soft, wind-swept, and full of quiet resilience.

Wishing Well

Wells were liminal places in folklore, believed to be portals to the otherworld. Wishing Well draws on that watery magic, where coins, prayers, and secrets were cast into the depths.

Serpent Balaclava by Melina Juhola

Originally calling for four strands of lace weight, we simplified the pattern using just one skein of Teddy - Wishing Well, and the result was perfect, no adjustments needed. The boucle texture gives the balaclava a soft, cloud-like look, and the gentle variegation and speckles move beautifully through the stitches, creating ripples of shifting light.

The All Hallows Spirit

Each skein in this collection carries a piece of the season, the warmth of the hearth, the mystery of twilight, and the small rituals that make the dark months feel alive. Whether you cast on something big or small, may your stitches keep you grounded through the turning of the year.
