The Zodiac Check Mate Top uses intarsia to create a chequered fabric from separate yarn bobbins. The back is worked first, then stitches are picked up for short-row-shaped shoulders and neckline shaping. The garment sections and sleeves are shaped separately and seamed together. Italian bind-offs and a picked-up folded rib collar finish the edges.
