Construction

German short rows shape ribbed panels. Decreases form the centre points while side stitches remain live; the sides are then bound off separately and eight shaped panels are assembled.

Gauge

Approximately 23 sts = 5 cm on 2.25 mm needles. The pattern allows the gauge and decoration size to be personalised with different yarn and needles; the fabric should be dense enough to hold its shape.
