The Fade Sets are Back!

The Fade Sets are Back!

We are starting off 2026 by bringing back our beloved fade sets, this time on Melted Baby Suri and Yak Single bases. These sets are designed in our studio to create a beautiful fade when knit or crocheted up. Have a look at our previous How To Knit a Fade post to see it in detail.

Boreal Cloud

The Boreal Cloud set takes you from chilly greens to soft pinks. When knit in a fade, the transition is seamless.

We knit this two colour tweed swatch to showcase how gradual the fade can get.

If you leave the fading aside and concentrate on just the colours, you can create a colour blocking landscape reminicent of sunsets at hidden forest ponds. The sample above is knit in our Mochi Sweater pattern, updated just for this release!

Rothko

Inspired by the bold colours and use of light in Mark Rothko's paintings, this set takes you from a dark brown to a light beige, revealing dots of red as it goes. In a way, it is like finding patches of sunlight when trailing a dark road.

Moonage

The Moonage set is the softest and most subtle of the bunch. The soft peach turns into a calm lilac almost by itself, you just have to knit it!

Here's a short sleeve version of the Mochi Sweater, which fades beautifully from one colour coast to another.

Peony

The Peony fade is a journey from a dark and lusterous purple into a soft pink. The shine of the Yak Single silk really comes through in these skeins, and gives the set an extra glimmery touch.

Here's the Peony fade worked in an afgan stitch. Can you tell where one colour starts and another begins?

These sets are an extension of our love for colour, the way it moves in the light and how we, as creators, can manipulate it.
