The Pattern
The Harlequin Shawlette is worked in the Harlequin Mosaic colourwork stitch. Each colour is knit on its own, two rows at a time, making it an easy introduction to colourwork projects. The pattern is written for our Super Floof DK and Dashing Sassy yarn.
Difficulty: Adventurous Beginner/Intermediate.
Construction Method
This shawlette is worked sideways, beginning with an I-cord tab cast-on. It features an I-cord edging and a two-colour Harlequin Mosaic Stitch. Only one colour is used at a time, worked across two full rows before switching. The shape is created by increasing along one edge until the shawlette reaches its widest point, after which matching decreases are worked to mirror the first half.
