Inspired with: Taster Box

We are so excited to (re)introduce our Taster Boxes. They are a true journey through yarn exploration. Three bases, nine colours - endless opportunities to play, discover, and test.

The studio team has been playing around with their Taster Boxes, here are (only a few!) options on what to use the yarn for.

Testing Stitch Patterns on Different Bases

The Taster Box is taking over our Stitch Sunday this weekend, as we try the same stitch on three different bases. Not only will this exercise show how the stitch looks in the end, but also how the knitting will feel in progress. Are the stitches flowing as you'd like, is there enough breath between the lace work? All questions answered!

Trying New Techniques

Intarsia can be an intimidating colourwork technique, that takes some practice to get the hang of. The Taster Box is the perfect tool for this, as you'll get to mix and match colours and different yarn weights and textures. Get the confidence to start a big project by trying out swatches!

The intasia swatches will make great building blocks for a small accessory...

Making Things

The Taster Box holds between 550-600 meters of yarn, which is perfect to make an accessory with! Here's a Baby Jester balaclava, crocheted by our Fran (@franmakestuff). Holding the yarn double (Dashing Sassy + Melted Baby Suri or Teddy), and stuffing the horns with the leftovers. A little yarn ball really goes a long way!

The Taster Box opens up a whole world of makes: testing, trying, tasting, feeling - the adventure is endless.

Available only on Qing - April 10th, 9pm BST (6am AEST, 4pm EST) 🎁
