Decreases are then divided into 4 sections and in each section 2 cables are merged together into 1. Increases and decreases are then continued to shape the bust by decreasing the centre front cable (merging 3 cables into 1), and increasing a single cable over each side of the bust into 2. The central cable then splits off again into 2 cables when shaping the neckline.
